How do I turn our inground pool into a pond with a waterfall?

Does anyone know how we can convert our 16 x 32 inground pool into a pond? Do we leave the liner or remove it? Can we break up the cement around the pool and throw that into the pond? We would just like to have a pond with a small waterfall at one end we don't intend to add fish. Any ideas would be appreciated.

It would seem to me that the liner is what keeps the pool water tight .. if you remove it it won't hold water.

Good Day ..

We did this when we lived in WV to a 20 x 40 inground pool.
If you would like the details, e-mail me. I have a picture detail of how we did it.
