| My 4 year old was "helping me" plant this spring and planted a couple of my zinna seeds with my summer squash. It came out looking GREAT! The big bold flowers REALLY attracted the pollinators and the flowers came up to just the right height. My neighbor actually came by to try and figure out what "new" kind of squash I was growing. LOL Next spring, I'm doing it on purpose but this time we're going to use a lot more zinna seeds mixed with the squash. I esp liked the hot pink flowers I got in contrast to the big squash leaves. Too funny, maybe I'll need to come up with some other veggies that need "new" flowers. Hmmmm.....Any suggestions? |
