grafting chestnuts

I have horse chestnuts and was wonder if one can graft an edible chestnut to the horse chestnut successfully
Would appreciate any information on this particular guestion

| Terry, Although horse chestnuts are called "chestnuts" they are not related to "regular" chestnuts and a graft won't work. Bob |

In this book..L'art de greffer p.266...ref..Jardin botanique de Dijon... we used Quercus robur like rootstock for chestnut(Castanea)..I have some littles trees(Quercus robur) and I want try.. hendy |
