can i grow peegee and lace cap hydrangea?

just wanted to know if anyone has had sucess with either of these in the northwest part of the state. i know the peegee is said to be able to take more sun but not sure how much. should i plant the lacecaps in light morning sun or almost total shade? . any advise would be greatly appreciated

Sure! Both do just fine around here! Yes, Peegee does take more sun but really, any Hydrangea does its best in good morning sun then shade for the rest of the day. East and North sides of homes tend to do well for them. At anyrate, they are easy..
If you see the varigated Hydrangea for sale, try it- a great(lavender) lace cap for a shady spot, really lights up a dark corner!

Actually, peegees do best in full sun. Lacecaps can usually take more sun than the mopheads, but both like afternoon shade.
