 o
Gardens in New Orleans?

DH and I are planning our first visit to NO in late March or else early June.
Which would be the best time to visit (I don't like the heat).
Are there any fabulous gardens that we should visit?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks, Nancy

Go in March. It is by far the best time to go as it starts to get really hot and humid starting in May.

Agreed, if you don't like heat, don't pick June! Nancy, New Orleans really is kind of one big garden. Take some long slow walks through the French Quarter, take the streetcar to the Garden District and Uptown. The azaleas will probably be done blooming by then, but that's a beautiful time of year to visit. The Botanical Garden is nice.

I've heard Longue Vue is beautiful but amazingly, I have never been. I have to put that on my list to do soon!

If you travel around the state any, the St. Francisville area is beautiful.

I was going to post the same question. We've decided to make a spur-of-the-moment trek to NO this weekend. Love these suggestions!
