Baton Rouge First Hard Freeze

It was 24 deg. F. for 2 hours here last night; things that had survived the earlier freezes got it last night. My Meyer lemon is drooping; we'll see how that comes out. It came through last years hard freeze so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. How did every one else make out?

I'm due east of you in Ponchatoula. We got down to 22. Won't know for a while if anything is lost though. My roses all had buds or blooms and of course that ends that. A lot of stuff did freeze but will come back from the roots in the spring. Had most of my tropicals covered on the porch the rest I'll wait and see.

My Meyer lemon tree has perked back up and looks like it is going to be OK; it surely did not look happy the first day after the freeze though.

I'm not sure what the temperature was down to, but I saw some frozen water in the bed of my pick-up when spending the night at my parents home in Ocean Springs. I thought they had lost all of the leaves to their big Sololam philodendrums (spelling?) but later in the day, they had all perked up. They were drooping so bad I was sure that they were lost.
