Need help in New Orleans

My daughter is a college student in New Orleans. She will begin living off campus this summer and is hoping to have an edibles garden. She has approval from her landlord, and I'm supplying heirloom seeds from my home stash. She doesn't have access to a tiller to turn the ground (or the money to purchase one). We are looking for someone who would be interested in helping her get started by turning the soil for her in JUNE. She takes possession of the house June 1, so anytime the first couple of weeks would be fantastic. She would be glad to pay someone to do this, but keep in mind, she's a broke college student on a scholarship, so she can't pay a lot.

She would also appreciate any helpful tips for growing in her zone. It's very different from mine, so I'm sure there are things I can't teach her. I'm supplying her with seeds for okra, tomatoes, beans, squash, and melons. I've heard some people also grow avocado there, so if anyone has tips on those, that would be great as well.

Thanks for any help and advice!
