Sounds wonderful! I assume this is a perennial, and so would be a great addition to the garden of someone stressing Permaculture. Plus, if there is a crisis, and the Nation's distribution system goes down, it would be nice to know we can have fresh greens to supplement the years' worth of canned vegetables, whole grains, and pasta we keep, just in case.

Didn't find anything very informative on the Net about this plant, so if you feel like sharing what you know, I, for one, will be keenly interested. Sounds like something that will do well in Oregon.
