Is it too early to start seeds now in peat pots and other planters and what should be planted now in zone 8b?I have lots to plant but do not want to rush it.Also I have Hollyhocks that I planted last year and they did not die over the winter and are still growing and have small plants under them ---can I take the small plants and transfer and will they still bloom this year? This will be second year in ground for them. Thanks for everything.

| I feel that we are over our last frost here (MS Gulf Coast). I'm transplanting bell peppers into the ground and they seem to be taking nicely. My kids direct seeded squash, pumpkin, and of course watermellon. I haven't seen anything springing up, so the ground may be a little cold yet for germination. |
