what's forsythia doing?

I noted a few weeks ago, the forsythia was full of little buds. I've been waiting for the big show, but the buds really look kinda brownish, and I'm wondering if it got too cold for them. I generally see them full of color by now in this area (north MS), but haven't noticed any at all. What have you noticed with forsythia this year?

Mine are in full bloom in Lake Charles, LA. Forsythia are hardy down to zone 4 or 5. My spring is 3 or 4 weeks late. Yours is also. They should show color shortly.
