Hi there! I'm trying to find great plant picks for NOLA gardens. I'm coming down Easter week with a group of volunteers and I get the garden duty. :) I'm looking for advice on the type of soil and best plant picks for several of the houses we are restoring. All my resources are for the Pacific Northwest. Any help is appreciated- either a good book for reference or a great web site.

Any local garden center will be helpful. I also included a link for books. A local library would be helpful as
well. Good luck and hope you get a little site seeing and
good eats in while you are here.
