| My wife and I rode all over the North Shore and New Orleans buying plants. My son and his fiancee actually built the garden and it was beautiful!
That garden now looks like a "moonscape" now. When I remember how proud they were when they finished that garden for us... Whew!
We had some little white, sunloving, strapleaf, caladiums that multiplied dependably each of the three years prior to being killed by 13 feet of Katrina's nastiest salty slop. We had them planted in small clusters throughout the large raised bed. So nice!
I just can't remember the name of these little gems. Maybe if someone nails the name, I will recognize it. I'm going back to Chalmette and, even back to my old house if the government will let me. |
