Caladiums - Where to Purchase in Alexandria, La area?

| Hello,
I am located in Alexandria and looking to purchase some Caladiums. I don't know if I want the actual plant or tubers. Does anyone have any ideas of where I can purchase them here?
I am leaning towards the white varieties (Aaron, Candidum, White Christmas, & White Queen) but other colors would be great as well. |

| I ended up finding the bulbs and plants at Wal-mart. I also saw the plant at Lowes. It's funny, when I went to these places before, the workers told me the didn't have any. I suspect that they simply had no idea of what I was talking about. |

| I was going to tell you Walmart. They always put out this display of assorted bulbs each year and always have Caladiums. |

| You can always check with local nurseries. Also, the Home Depot in our area usually carries many varieties. (Their plants and bulbs seem to be a little better than those at Wal-Mart.) Our local store also has a horticulturist on staff; she has been extremely helpful. |

| what is the problem with caladiums? they used to be so pleniful and not that expensive. now the tubers are mediocre unless you buy ones that are $1+ each. was there a blight or something? |
