When we did hype- tuffa we found granite and marble dust at a place that scribes memorials/tombstones
It dId have some sand in it from the sand blasting but it worked fine.

Our source was in Mobile
I am sure there are a dozen of memorial venders in the NOLA area
What do you plan on using it for
Pleawe note some granite can be slightly radioactiive with Pottasium 40 and radon
I would not use it as a soil ammendment

You can get Turface at John Deere Landscapes in BR, Chastant Brothers in Lafayette, WDI in Rayne (337) 334-8503, or at Ewing Irrigation in Lafayette, BR, or Mandeville.

I'm not sure you'll find crushed granite or #2 cherrystone (used interchangeably), but you should be able to find Manna-Pro Grower Grit at feed stores and maybe even some big box stores.

The Turface you want will be labeled 'Turface MVP' or 'Allsport', depending on whether you buy it from John Deere (Allsport) or another distributor (MVP).

I found 50 pound bags of decomposed granite at a rock and flagstone dealer in Lacomb, Jim's stone I think.
