Does anyone know who may have LSU Purple or Gold fig trees for sale around Slidell, LA area?

So as not to waste the gas. I had both but gave them to Parkway Partners here in New Orleans so they could do cuttings for the public. |

I'm not in that area, but here around Monroe, LA LSU Gold is usually available at the box stores... Lowe's, Home Depot. I don't know if this is normal, but my LSU Gold almost wore me out waiting for a crop. The third year it surprised me and produced a few, and they were huge. Seemed like they stayed on the tree for months with little change and then in just a few days they started growing and were ripe. They're my wife's favorite!

If you are in Baton Rouge, stop by one of the Louisiana Nursery locations (3 of them) or Cleggs. I've usually seen both at both stores at various times of the year. James

I got mine from Lowes. Planted it in the fall and harvested about 50 figs in the spring. This year (year 2)it has grown some and has a bigger crop than last year. No complaints from me. They are rather large and quite tasty.
