For those who are interested in Pelican tomatoes I have confirmed that Pelican plants are available at a local nursery in Avoyelles Parish each spring. The seed that they have is for their use only , but plants will be next available next spring. Hope this helps those who are in search of the Pelican tomatoes.

RE: Pelican Tomatoes

Thanks for the info Yolanda. I've been looking for seeds as I like to start my own plants. If you hear of a source, please post it. Strange, I was about to think that I imagined Pelican tomatoes since when I request information about them, no one seems to know anything about them. I asked our local Parhish ag agent and he was not famaliar with them, but he's a young man, probably too young to remember when this variety was introduced,in the 1970's I think.

RE: Pelican Tomatoes

Where about in Avoyelles parish? I have in laws in Masura and Marksville. Tell me more about the pelican tomato? I wasn't on line when ya'll were talking about them. I've grown creole tomatos for years but this is the first I'm hearing about pelican tomato. Thanks
