Re-seeding after one week

User

Hello!
I tried this in lawn care, but no reply. So, I'll try here. I just seeded my back yard with Pennington Centipede grass seed. After about a week, I have tiny little blades coming through. Yay! I am thinking I should hedge my bets and seed again to fill in some spots that aren't looking as good. I bought Scott's this time (hedging my bets), and I was wondering if I could just lay it down, not disturbing the ground at all? Should I rake dirt slightly? Will it affect new seedlings? Should I just wait in general?

Thanks in advance,
Britt

I think you should throw out some seed and not disturb the soil. The raking may kill some seedlings.
