the lilly refuses to open

I just planted an expensive Agapanthus developed by La. Co. Arboretum. The excited nurseryman said it had "exceptional vigor and a large dark blue-violet flower." Royal Ama is the name.

The bloom was half opened when I planted it. The raised planting bed is fun sun. Everymorning we couldn't wait to see it open. MAIS LA! All the petal just fell to the ground.

My Walmart Agapanthus planted at the same time is showing exception vigor!

Whats wrong with Ama? Any ideas?

agapanthus are notorious for not liking to be disturbed. They do not bloom sometimes for a while when they are divided for example.
I think that she just suffered a bit of a shock when transplanted. just pamper her a little. (make sure she is well watered and do not disturb or dig around her for awhile).
