the Garden District afterwards; the courtyard and balcony are too hot right now, but the views out of the windows are great. Sugar Magnolia is nice for breckfast.

Go out to Metairie in "Fat City". There is a restaurant named Drago's. If you're an oyster person, get their broiled oysters in the shell. Their food, especially seafood, is the freshest you can find anywhere.

Non gourmet regular meals:

La Paniche which is always open unless it's closed. Somewhere "over there" just outside the Quarter. Take a cab.

Fiorello's on Decatur for lunch if you like fried chicken. They actually fry the chicken after it's ordered so it involves a wait. It's usually packed for lunch so try to arrive early.

We recently went to Pascal Menaldes on Napoleon. It was fabulous. Try the turtel soup, UMMMM, it was very good!

Pieros in Kenner. Authentic northern italian food. The guy dining next to you could be Chef Emeral......dining, not cooking :).

The best local breakfast....breakfast po-boy from Magazine Po-boys. The bread is local ..fresh made that morning....and everything fresh and hot and the price is right too :> Heck now I want one and I'm stuck at work :Mike
