Wow, am I getting some figs from our own tree and from friends! Does anyone have some good recipes for the little buggers? I was going to post the Edible forum, but it doesn't seem as active. Thanks!

RE: Fig recipes

If you like preserves, i made some the other night. All you do is put 3lbs. of sugar in large pot and add just enough water to cover the sugar. Get to boil then put enough figs to cover with the syrup. Cook till they turn a light brown. Then taste them to make sure there sweet and tender but not mush. Take figs out to cool while you cook your syrup down to get a little thicker but not to thick. Then put figs in jars and add syrup. Easy. Good luck. Brenda
