Lost my garden...any tomato plants?

| I had just planted my tomato and cucumber transplants and was getting some nice blossoms and everything....when Katrina hit. We will be moving to Birmingham for a while (from New Orleans) and I was wondering if there was anywhere I could STILL order tomato plants from...I know it's quite late now, but I really loved my tomato plants. Maybe it will even be too cold in Birmingham for tomatoes this time of year....I guess it is a different zone. Too bad. I'm so disappointed....

| I'm so sorry about your plants! Here in FL, we are just getting into the growing season, so if you want, I could grab a couple of tomato starter plants for you and send them. I'm pretty sure I could find some cucumber seeds too. But I think you're right about it being too cold in Birmingham. You could grow some winter crops, though. Let me know when you're back, because I'll be happy to send you some more plants. |

| I saw a bunch of tomato starts at Cleggs' Seigen Lane Store (near intersection with Airline) in Baton Rouge a couple weekends ago. They also had quite a number of various herbs as well as leafy veggie starts. |
