| Does anyone here use tree spikes to fertilize trees? What time of the year should oak and bay magnolia trees on the MS Gulf Coast be fed? |

| A horticulturist whom I trust told me not to use the spikes, that they are just a waste of money. Instead use granular fertilizer. If necessary, put it in buckets of water and pour under the trees. |
