Any ideas on fall veggies to grow from seeds?

I'm in Northwest Louisiana, and have very sandy soil. I'm looking for ideas on some easy veggies to grow for the fall. Preferably from seeds as I want to order non-gmo seeds. And hopefully easy going plants as I have a clingy baby who won't let me do much besides entertain her in her playroom ha! :) TIA!

You could plant some carrots,mustard green,turnips, kale, collards and broccoli. There are also onion sets you can usually buy at local feed stores. You can also try beets and spinach which are usually a little harder to grow this far South. Good luck
