I would consult the following links for a better idea of what will do well in your area. I think Meyer lemon would do fine, because it grows pretty good up here in the Baton Rouge area, and you get much less freezing weather than us in LC. Limes I dont have much experience with. It is probably not a bad idea to cover all of your citrus during freezes for their first few years.

We're below I-10 & have a terrible time with citrus leaf miners on young trees. A systemic insecticide is supposed to control them but it seems you have to use it 24/7
Figs do well. Keiffer pears, too, but I don't know if there's much of a market for them.
Last winter was crazy cold, but you might try limequats instead of limes. They're hardier.

Go to your local LSU ag center extension office. They will give you a lot of great advice. Also, satsumas are native to Louisiana but you have to make sure you are planting the right ones. All do well but the native LA satsuma is always the best.

Kumquats are pretty hardy as far as citrus goes too.

I grew up in L.C. and in a little town, Welsh. My relatives still live there. Satsumas do very well. I always had access to plucking satsumas off small satsuma bushes, when I was a kid. My relatives have them growing in their yards with almost no care. I also successfully grew qumquats. Just stuck 'em in the ground, and they grew and produced. Fig trees grow with almost no care. Blackberries do well, of course (yum).
