| I am trying to get together a group of people who are interested in starting a farmer's market in Batesville, MS. I want to involve the Panola Partnership and the City as well, so I need a pretty sizeable group.
It's long overdue, in my opinion! Oxford has a market, but I don't want to drive over there to set up as a vendor or shop as a customer. I want to support our local economy and agriculture.
I'd like to get on the agenda at an upcoming City Board meeting to see if the open grassy area in the City Park can be used. I have set up a Facebook group for anyone who is interested. I will be posting all updates and meetings on the FB group, so it's the best way to stay abreast of any changes or announcements.
