I live in Livingstong Parish and have recently become intersted in trying to grow Red and Yellow onions I haven't really found anything out when I google the topic that I have found helpful.
I just bought my bulbs and have cleaned out some space for them but if I plant them now, when will they be ready? How will I know if they are ready?

Hey noirblade, I don't know anything about growing onions, but would like to follow your progress as I would like to plant some this coming spring. Try posting on the veggie forum, maybe you'll get more replies. Good luck and do post your findings and progress.

We have grown the larger onions in the past. We always started them in the Spring. You have to keep soil pushed away from the onion while it is growing. Harvest in late summer, if memory serves me at all.
