African Daisy/osteospermum.....plant for winter?

I was at Home Depot and they had a great selection of African Daises....however, I remember planting some in the spring for summer flowering....if I plant them now, they will probably die down in the winter, won't they? I really love these flowers and had a hard time finding thing last spring at nurseries etc. Should I plant them in my garden now and let them die down and come back or will they live through the winter? Thanks!!

I put one in a pot last spring. It has lived through winter. It is very scraggly. I plan on rotting what's left of it and leaving the rootball in the pot to see if it sprouts back from there. I was really surprised that it survived. I will try more of them this year.
