Help with plant identification

My husband recently saw a plant in a local yard that he thought might work well for us. We have having to plant down one side and across the front of our house for privacy and hopefully noise reduction. He stopped and asked but the plant was already in place when the present owners purchased the house. The plant is most likely an evergreen since it still has leaves and had a green berry. The leaves had a rounded shape. I know it's not much to go on but would appreciate anything that might help us figure out what it might be.

You're asking a lot here. There are many Hollies that serve as hedge in the south. It might be Laurelcherry. Probably not Wax Myrtle.

Ask if you can take a clipping to a nursery.
