Frost on Angel's Trumpets

granyfranny

We had a light frost a few nights ago and I failed to cover

the Angel Trumpet plants that were planted in the late spring in the yard.

They are in a bed in a southern location near the house.

I mulched them with a thick layer of leaves this fall but I am not sure what to do now with these plants that were given to me.

The new growth on them is about 2 ft. long and still looks

good after the frost but the leaves are drooped and falling off. They even had several buds that were about to open and one looks like it may open, even after the frost.

What should I do with the plants now?

Thanks for any help because I would hate to lose them.
