bean sprouts?

I want to do some bean sprouts for my salads. What beans do I use? Do they have to be special beans? I think I read somewhere that you do not want beans seed that have been treated?

What is the cheepest way to get sprouts?

Mung beans are the ones I sprout and I'm sure there are cheaper sources than the health food store I get mine at. I also sprout sunflower and radish seeds. All three are nice in salads.

After mung beans, my second favourite are adzuki beans for sprouting.
