Freezing Fresh Picked Kidney Beans?

I know this is going to sound like a dumb question to some. I like canned Kidney Beans in my Chili. I have tried dried and the texture never quite come out the same. I am going to be growing Kidney beans this season but I don't can. If I shell mature Kidney Beans and lightly blanch them and freeze them what kind of result can I expect? Will their texture be as good as canned Kidney beans?

Yes! Just barely cover them with water and get all of the air out of the bag. They taste like fresh picked.
