You know, I don't know what that is. But I have seen it from time to time. In fact, I grow one variety of bean which always does this. But it seems that it never causes the plants any great problem. They recover and go on with production. I only see this withering of new leaves while the plants are quite young.

Did you use fresh manure to fertilize your soil? I had this problem with local topsoil that had been enhanced with manure. The manure had been contaminated with grayzon - an herbicide put on grass fields for cattle. It targets legumes and nightshade family plants which includes beans, tomatoes, peppers, etc.
