Worried about my peas!

I live in central Maryland, zone 7a, and I planted my peas on March 11th. We have had a few days of nice weather since then, a few days below freezing, and got about 6 inches of snow two nights ago. I did cover them before the snow, so that shouldn't have hurt them. They still haven't come up after a week, which I didn't really expect them to yet. But I was wondering if anyone thinks I may have planted too early, or if I'm still good.

I don't know what your soil temperatures are, but as cold as it has been in MD, it can take a long time for peas to germinate if they don't rot first. Optimal *soil* temps to make peas germinate quickly are between 50 and 77 degrees. Any lower increases the wait time for emergence 2 weeks to a month. Obviously, that higher temperature is not ideal for the cool weather peas like to grow on in, just to sprout the seed.
