| I have tried to start few of each various BEANS in cold frame.
I did that about a week or so ago, without pre-soaking the seeds. I am taking note of their germination time in comparison: LONG beans were the first to sprout, followed by Kentucky Wonder,
Anybody has similar experiments and experience about varios beans and peas? Cyrus |

| It's still a bit too early to start my beans for outside planting but I have sprouted two types of rice beans(vulgaris), chinese red noodle and pretzel beans in damp paper towel in the house on top of an aquarium, soaked them for a couple of hours then into the damp paper towel, they all germinated within 4 days. These are now planted in pots in the greenhouse, the rice beans will eventually go outside the red noodle and pretzel are staying in the greenhouse. Annette |
