We like the Bush's brand crowder peas and are wanting to plant some. But all it reads on the can is Crowder Peas. Would anybody happen to know what kind that would be? Thank you so much!
I don't know and Bush is not free with information. I expect that they are are variation of the Brown Crowder. The article gives some good classifications of types. The author is a little off the wall, but you will get the general ideas on availble brown crowders.
My Dad always planted Crowder peas. I thought it was so cool since that was our last name. I always assumed that some long lost family by that name had saved those peas down through the years to plant each and every year../...So cool that we had a pea with our name......what a rude awakening when I learned where the name really came from...Boo Hoo
