First time with Limas, question

Jeremy_Jay

Hi all,

I decided to grow some Speckled Limas (pole variety) this year and am using a 3-legged tee-pee setup for them to climb on. Also I set 3 stakes between the pole legs and have jute strung from the stakes up to the top. So I have 12 supports for the beans to climb.

I planted 4-5 beans around each support and they have ALL sprouted as of yesterday. My gut tells me to thin out the weakest ones and only let 1 plant grow up each support so they dont choke each other out.

So how many bean plants should I let grow up each support?

Thanks,

Jeremy
