State Half-Runner?

I bought some "State" half-runner beans to grow in the 3 Sisters garden since I found out too late that sweet corn will not support the vigorous vines of the pole beans (I'm already eye-to-eye with the top of my Trionfo Violettas).

I can't find much in the way of description for this variety. It seems to be very popular around here but its sold from the loose bins in the small feed and farm supply stores with nothing much on it but its name. What can you tell me about it? Especially, do they freeze well?

Also, if using half-runner beans works well in the 3 Sisters garden, does anyone know of any purple or yellow varieties? I prefer purple and yellow beans because I lose green ones among the leaves (I expect this to be worse with squash leaves to deal with too), and then the plants stop producing.
