Going to try Spanish Musica this year.

I stumbled upon these pole beans at Renees Garden Seeds this year and they are new to me. I thought I would try them. Literature said they are best tasting. Sounds good to me. Anyone grow them?

My seeds came in the mail today. Pretty white beans. Hopefully I can get them planted but its raining so we will see.

I read the directions and pretty much like other beans they need it to be above 55 to germinate. So I am starting them inside. Already done and set up in a nice warm spot to sprout.

I have already started my pole string beans inside and that went well and those were transplanted outside yesterday. I looked at them today and they all look great.

I planted them out today although they did spend some time outside before I got them in ground. I am really looking forward to tasting them.

These seem to be really fast climbers to me. I planted them later than the Blue Lake next to them but they are already but twice as high as those Blue Lakes.

Today I see the first bloom on the beans. Hopefully there will soon be more blooms and on the Blue Lakes also. Really I can't wait to taste these.

Honestly I got these because people raved about the taste and tenderness of them. Gosh, I hate them! Tired them twice, so tough I thought I must have waited too long. Tried again with very small beans but not tender even at that stage. I am very disapointed and will never be planting these again. In fact if it wasn't raining out right now, I would be out there tearing them out and planting peas in ther spot instead. And that is exactly what I am going to do probably tomorrow.

I grow Blue Lake Pole Beans so that is my standard that I am compairing to.
