Peas with meaty pods

My wife just came home from the store yesterday with fresh snap peas and they were delicious. The pods were so thick and meaty I couldn't believe it. I have grow many varieties in my garden but the pods are usually thin compared to these. Does anyone know of a variety that will give me those nice thick pods?

Sugar Snap and Super Sugar snap have meaty stringless pods. Therr are other snap peas that are good, but there are also those that get tought and stringy.

Other snap cultivars are Sugar Ann and Amish Snap. AS is my favourite.
