Green & Wax Beans Sprouting

I directly sowed my green and wax beans in the garden a couple of weeks ago. I guess the ground has finally warmed up enough now because they are sprouting like crazy__:>)....my question is: I planted 2-3 beans about 1 inch away from each other...moved to the next hole a foot away, did the same thing, etc....they are all sprouting, should I snip off 2 of the seedlings, so there is only 1 seedling, every foot apart? These are bush type string beans...I hate to thin out, but I will if I must.....

If they were pole beans, I'd say leave them as they are. I don't know about bush beans though. I THOUGHT they needed 4" spacing between them. If you had to, could you quickly transplant shift them in the rows to more even spacing without damaging the roots?

Leave the beans where they are. 2-3 beans planted 6 inches apart is perfect. Beans do not like to be disturbed.

I agree, leave them as they are.

But next time consider planting individual beans about 4 inches apart in blocks with 6 inches between rows. You might get better use of your space that way. :-)
