Chinese Long Beans (pole) support question

I constructed some support for these Chinese long beans. The package indicated that they were a pole variety, but they do not appear to need any support so far are they just too young? Could it possibly be a bush variety?
This is my first garden and I have a lot to learn any feedback is appreciated.
