I don't know about Texas, but I have never have found any decent snap bean That will last to the Fourth of July in middle Georgia heat.

The only beans that will last in deep south heat are Tepary X Vulgaris hybrids. I am growing Vax-1 this year to see what it needs to make decent snap beans. So far, all I have is blooms.
