The cherekee black bean seeds don't indicate if they are bush or pole. Does any one know

Cherokee Black aka Trail of Tears is listed as a pole bean. Have not grown it myself.

Someone sent me some seed to Price's Cherokee Pole bean, which is also black seeded. And, while visiting a Cherokee historical garden, not far from here, I saw a black seeded Cherokee half runner. Half runners which do not require staking (even if they can use it) are sometimes technically considered "bush."

But in my opinion, the odds are that you have a climbing bean which should be treated as a pole bean until you learn otherwise.

Cherokee Trail of Tears is definitely a pole bean that need support. They grew up and over my 6' pole supports last year. They were very pretty too with pink flowers and the pods went from green to purple.
