Need help planting Edamame seeds!

I have a garden that is doing very well right now. I tilled in composted horse manure, I transplanted most of my plants from store brought plants. Although, I purchased 25 edamame seeds and only a few of them sprouted. I am wondering if anyone has any tips on growing edamame from seeds? I plan on replanting the ones that didn't germinate. I tried searching the internet and didn't find a lot of information. Should I try to sift the area I plan to plant the seeds? I do have some clumps in the garden. Maybe add more horse manure compost? Another thing is soil crusting, could I work in some peat moss to help with that?
