I planted some roma bush beans next to my garden fence (inside it). Several of them put up runners that went up about 2'. Yesterday afternoon I went out and they were fine. Then in the evening I went out and they all looked dead. I thought maybe I just let them get too dry, so I watered them.

Then I realized that they all had been bitten off near the ground.

Its an excellent fence.......4' utility wire lined at the bottom with chicken wire. The stems had a diagonal cut.......which is what rabbits do. I checked the entire garden and no rabbits. It had to be mice. I think they might have been after water.......since the stems were not chewed on..........just bitten.
Does this sound like mice to you?
