Edamame defoliation

MountainMomma7

I am growing edamame for the first time and my plants were doing great until something came along and ate every leaf off every edamame plant. They are planted in the middle of the garden, surrounded by tomatoes & other beans. The insect/critter seems to have left the other veggies alone, for the most part, but every leaf is gone from my row of edamame. All that's left are the stalks and underdeveloped pods :( What animal am i the victim of?
