Probably two hot for common beans. Even my half runners quit on me about two weeks ago. I will start again in late August.
Yellowing starting from the bottom usually means Fusarium. No treatment except using resistant cultivars. About the only antifungal available to the general public is chlorothalonil ( brand name Daconil) It will help control some of the common leaf diseases. Here I have Tomato Spotted Wilt virus (TSWV) which often kills all but the resistant cultivars. Very bad this year. It has taken out all my beefsteak types.

diseases have been getting all my tomato plants in the last 4 years or so. I even used resistant varieties. Even planted in dif spots in my small yard.
Only ones ever did any good was "volunteers" I found in elsewhere spot in yard and kept alive.
I mulched all and using rainbarrel water.
I planted again this year in 3 spots this year. Sweet 100s ,my favorite, First planted spot is yellowing. 2nd spot not as big so who know and third area just weeks old.
But I dont count on getting any at all.

Much obliged for the info and advice. I'll plant beans again in late Aug and hope for better luck. Last year I lost all my toms to two weeks of torrential rains. When I replanted in mid summer, my best specimen was called a 'heat wave' tomato. Not sure who puts it out. Beefsteaks were the first to go this year, although I'm still getting some nice fruit, but not for long. Husky cherries are a little more resistant, and are producing like crazy for the time being. Didn't even try early girls this year. No use in this weather.

Redman, have you considered growing Southern peas during the hot summer months? Your climate seems made for them. Also I hear that okra likes it hot. Willhite, TX, has both at reasonable seed and shipping prices.

Another option for hot summers are the yard-long beans and Red Noodle beans, some available at Willhite. However, these beans are climbers and need trellis supports. If asked, Willhite might advise you on other crops to grow during the hot summer months. Good luck with your crops.
