You should have two - three weeks left for planting bush snap beans, wax or not.

Well, I planted 100 or so Yellow Wax Bean seeds this past Saturday is a raised bed. I'm going to use my father-in-law's trick of bamboo stakes on the side with string running back & forth for the beans to climb on. I'll let y'all know how it goes. =)

Yay!!! I saw at least 10-15 sprouting this morning. I bet within a week, i'll have 50+. =) They should grow fast, like beans normally do. I need to start work on my support system for them this weekend.

Ummm...more like within a day i'll have 50+ sprouted! lol. I love how fast beans go. I bet 70%+ of the 100 seeds I put out have already sprouted and are 2-3 inches tall after only 6 days. =)

I'm guessing I got about an 80-90% germination rate, which is perfectly fine with me. They're all about a foot or taller now. My only problem currently is that my pickling cukes are invading them on the left side! I keep trying to tie those little strings the cukes send out to where they'll grow up instead of to the right towards the beans, but they're growing so fast, it's only slightly working. Anyways, hopefully i'll have some bean flowers in a few weeks. =) Updated picture of the Yellow Wax Bean bed on my gardening blog linked below.
