Green & Yellow Beans cut down

Posted by paminme ME (My Page) on

Several plants have been cut down overnight. I picked one up and there was a worm coming out of the end - it appeared to be inside the stem. Is this a cutworm or something else? The worm was segmented and a brownish gold color.

What ever it is - how do I get rid of it?

I was hoping someone more experienced with this problem would answer your questions but it sounds like cutworms to me, you could try putting collars around the beans. Some use toilet paper tubes cut in half partially buried into the soil.
