Sugar snap peas growing too tall

So I'm growing a vegetable garden this year and so far everything has been going great, and in the case of our peas, a little too great. The garden is at my dad's house (since we don't have a yard) and in between two days of being out there the peas skyrocketed and have way over grown to the point that they're toppled over. We put up higher poles (by attaching new poles to the old ones), but I don't know this will be enough as we noticed there are cracks in some of the stems. Does anyone have any advice or have been through a similar situation? I'm just worried because they've finally started blooming at the tops and I don't want to lose my harvest. Thanks!
